"He has resumed work gradually and began build up his work routine as per doctors' instructions keeping in sight national and international guidelines," Javed tweeted, urging the general public to require precautions to stop the spread of the virus.

It wasn't immediately clear if Prime Minister Imran has returned a negative test.

Imran came under severe criticism from the opposition last week after he presided over a gathering of his media team at his Banigala residence while he was alleged to be under quarantine.

The opposition said the prime minister had himself violated standard operating procedures despite the third wave of the virus underway within the country and involved the registration of a primary Information Report against all the people that attended the meeting for violating the SOPs.

None of the government's spokespersons could defend the prime minister adequately on his act of chairing a gathering during the quarantine period and lots of of them avoided engaging with media personnel over the difficulty.

Following the prime minister's positive test result, the Ministry of National Health Services had clarified that the premier wasn't "fully vaccinated" when he contracted the virus.

"He only got the primary dose merely two days ago which is just too soon for ANY vaccine to become effective. Antibodies develop 2-3 weeks after the second dose of 2-dose Covid vaccines," it said.

Later, SAPM Sultan said it had been important to know how vaccines worked. "No vaccine works immediately after being administered. Antibodies can take a minimum of two to 3 weeks to develop."

He said that for two-dose vaccines, like the one from Sinopharm, antibodies could take two to 3 weeks to develop after the second dose.

Dr Javed Akram — a member of the federal government's Covid-19 task force — said that it had been not uncommon for people to become infected with the virus after being vaccinated.

Imam-ul-Haq teases fans with good news, poses with 'super young and fit' Sarfaraz Ahmed

Pakistan left-handed batsman Imam-ul-Haq on Sunday took to Instagram to go away a teaser for fans of Pakistan cricket regarding some upcoming "good news".

In the picture, the batsman are often seen standing with former Pakistan cricket captain Sarfaraz Ahmed. Haq complimented Sarfaraz by praising his fitness and saying that the previous captain looked "super young" also .

After Imam, on debut and under difficult conditions, led Pakistan to a hard-fought convert Ireland, his credentials shouldn't be questioned. He's earned his keep — a minimum of for the nonce . Product of a parchi you say? Torn up pieces of that parchi are often found everywhere The Village dig in Ireland.

As for keeping the ostensibly deserving Fawad Alam out of the side, well that southpaw may be a middle-order batter — a finisher — while Imam is an opener. How is one a replacement of the other?

Of course, this all is returning to the critics — including yours truly — only now. Now that we've been proven wrong and now that Imam didn't fall through on his face on his debut like many folks had envisaged.

Imam, a 22-year-old, clothed to be Pakistan's saviour in Malahide. The narrative crumbled. The script flipped.

Turns out, Imam may in any case have talent. More notably, it seems that his uncle, a person of cricket — correction: a legend of cricket — may have an eye fixed for talent. And he might not are lying when he had passionately defended his record and said he had nothing against anyone.

The thing is that in modern sports tons of religion is put in numbers. within the last 20 years , concepts like sports analytics and moneyball and whatnot have appropriated . They've led us to believe that numbers don't lie — and while they'll not, they do not necessarily tell the entire story either.

So Fawad may have averaged 40 within the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy this season but that was down from his last year's average of 56. A 16-run single-season plunge for a 32-year-old, albeit he's still fit, is an alarming sign.

The PML-N leader alleged that DSP Zulfiqar Virk conducted the operation. He said that Virk was initially appointed as DSP in Daska by the provincial government to manage the by-elections. Following the opposition’s complaints and after the intervention of the committee of Pakistan, he was removed as DSP  Daska but posted within the Special Branch and deputed within the same area.

Sanaullah said that the ‘missing’ presiding officers had disappeared separately but were taken to the Returning Office together after having been ‘recovered’ by DSP Virk.

When asked if the PML-N has thus far found any involvement of the military establishment within the Daska by-poll rigging, Rana Sanaullah said, “no”. the whole operation, he said, was conducted during a very crude manner with the involvement of the provincial government, local civil administration and police with DSP Zulfiqar Virk playing the key role.

He said that the election staff within the field was managed by the provincial government through the deputy commissioner and other officials of the local civil administration.

Meanwhile, the ECP withheld the results of the NA-75 Sialkot by-poll and announced that around twenty-four presiding officers had gone missing along side polling bags. The committee had expressed its fear that the results, shared by the missing presiding officers after a delay of a minimum of six hours beyond the traditional time, had been compromised and placed on hold the announcement of the unconfirmed results.

The committee maintained that the results of NA-75 were received after an inordinate delay and explained that several attempts were made to contact the presiding officers but these proved fruitless. it had been also acknowledged that the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) himself tried contacting the Punjab military officer of police (IGP) and therefore the relevant commissioner also as deputy commissioner on receiving information from the district official (DRO) and official (RO) about the presiding officers who had gone missing but did not establish contact with them.

The Punjab Chief Secretary was contacted at around 3:00 am to offer an assurance of tracing the ‘missing’ presiding officers and recovering the polling bags for the NA-75 results, the ECP said, adding that he too had “made himself unavailable”.

Asim Yasin adds: Former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani stated that it appeared as if the establishment is "completely neutral", because the Pakistan Democratic Movement's (PDM) parties, the PPP and therefore the PML-N beat the ruling party within the by-elections for 3 seats.

The PPP leader, who has been nominated because the joint Senate candidate for the PDM, thanked the Opposition parties for putting their faith in him.

"I am extremely grateful to the PDM for expressing confidence in me," he said. "The PDM gave me its ticket [for Senate elections], i will be able to represent the PDM," he added.

"I secured the votes on the idea of my cordial relations [with parliamentarians]," he said. The ex-premier said he would go individually to satisfy each member of the PDM.

"My victory within the Senate elections are going to be a victory for the forces of democracy," he said, congratulating the PDM for its candidates' victory within the recent elections.

The former prime minister refuted speculation that he met PTI leader Jahangir Tareen. "I have neither met Jahangir Tareen neither established contact with him," he said.

Yusuf Raza Gilani, along side the People Party delegation, held meeting with PDM President Maulana Fazlur Rehman and discussed the upcoming Senate elections. Gilani deliberated upon the continued political situation within the country with Fazlur Rehman.

Gilani said he was thankful to all or any the parties of the PDM for showing their confidence in him for the Senate elections. He said he had received the arrogance of the entire House when he was elected as a major minister with consensus and now he would get the votes within the upcoming Senate elections on the idea of performance.
